Micromax Vijoy Kurve Price and Review

Micromax Mobile Phone Company has just released a budget android smartphone, Micromax Vjoy Kurve. This Indian company is releasing some attractive low to mid-range android phone. According to Zeenews Micromax has captured 22 percent of android phone market share in India. We really impressed by its specification compared to its price. This phone has Android Lollipop 5.1 operating system. Usually, all Micromax phones used to have similar packaging. After opening the box we got headphone, USB cable, charger, documentation and the phone. Let’s see what Micromax Vjoy Kurve offering us.

Some key features:
- Dual SIM dual standby (Both SIM are active)
- 5 inch TFT display
- 5 MP rear and 2 MP front camera
- 3G supported
- Android 5.1 Lollipop
- 1.3 GHz Quad Core Processor
- 1 GB of Ram
- 8 GB Internal Memory
- Lithium-ion 2000 mAh battery
- Bluetooth v4.0
- Some of sensors

Look and feel: As with the other Mcromax phone, Micromax uses the old polycarbonate chassis design for the Vjoy Kurve. Volume rocker button and power button both are located on the right side. Left side is empty. Micro USB port located on the bottom side and standard 3.5 audio jacks located on the top side. This phone is only 8.5 mm thick. This phone really feels awesome in hand. 5 inch phone are most popular phone in the market.

I think most important part of a smartphone is design. Most people use nice looking android smartphone, Sometime they don’t bother about brand. This phone is also light enough for carry. Compared to its price you cannot expect more.

Camera and Multimedia: The device is equipped with a 2MP front camera and a 5MP main camera that takes sharp images during the day. But the performance was little poor at night. For our testing purpose we took some photos in outdoor, indoor, and in low light situation.

All photos were acceptable compared to its price. Front camera is only 2 mega pixel which is not good for sefie but it is good for video call. Camera user interface is clean and user friendly with some nice features. Multimedia section of this android smartphone is really impressive.

You can play any type of audio and video without any issue. We played mp3, mp4, wave, mpeg, avi, 3gp formats during our test. Speaker is also loud for ringtone and other notifications. Listening audio via provided headphone was really impressive.

Performance and Hardware: User interface and menu transition seemed smooth but there was a noticeable lag while playing heavy graphic games. If you are heavy gamers then you should not buy this android smartphone otherwise this is a very good phone. If you want to listen music, watch video and use some useful android apps then this is a very good choice without thinking. For light users this phone is a perfect choice. This phone has a quad core 1.3 Ghz and 1 GB of RAM. Internal memory of this phone is 8 GB.

Also you can expand its memory capability by a micro SD card which is a very affordable and easy option. Micro SD card will support up to 32 GB. I think this company should equip at least 64 GB support. Its chipset is SC 7731. This phone has only one sensor that is gravity sensor. Within this price range one sensor is acceptable. FM radio has recording capability and its dual SIM capability is very useful for a lot of users. Some built in software is not very useful.

Network: This phone makes crystal-clear calls. This phone can work both in GSM and 3G networks. Call quality in both networks was impressive. Mobile data transfer speed was really excellent. I tested the 3G speeds on the GrameenPhone network here in Bangladesh and found that this phone is capable to gain around 11Mbps download and 9Mbps in uploads.
Battery: The smartphone packs in a 2000 mAh user replaceable lithium-ion battery that struggled to last one full day. The 2,000mAh battery for 5 inch phone means you cannot use this phone for full day without a second charge or even 3rd charge if you are heavy user. Personally always i use external USB power bang no the go with android smartphone because android phone need a lot of power.

Verdict: I think within 5000 taka (Updated on 25/2/2016) this phone is good choices but remember that before buying any android smartphone you should compare other android phone within similar price range. Symphony and Walton both company has some affordable android smartphone. If you’re looking for something cheaper, there's always the Walton Primo E7 and its price is only 3990 taka, while the Zelta D100 at 4970 taka isn't too bad a deal as well.
